Congratulations on the new news. You said it so well Andria, you cannot prepare your head or heart on what it feels the first moment you touch your child. Then the first time that child wraps their hand around yours. Everything just swells. Life will keep blessing you daily. Congratulations again to you, Scott and Evelyn. Love to all, Aunt Bonnie

Hello there...thought I'd comment after a few months of poking in here and there...
If it's any comfort, we have a three year old who has gone to bed without supper a zillion times in his life, because he just won't eat, and he's always fine. He also ate nothing but dry bread, apples and cheese for about a month at one point. I think kids do self-regulate. Having said that, I do wish my 10 month old would eat something besides orange slices. Good luck, and hang in there - just when you find something she likes, she'll change her mind.

Grandma and grandpa are permanetly tethered to this little one also! Funny how there can be so many strings attached to your heart. Good thing is that there is always room for more! Can't wait to be Nama again! Thanks for the joy! Love you all, Mama

You had such a lovely first birthday party for Evelyn... everything was decorated so cute and you both looked so cute in your matching colors!!! You two are wonderful parents.... just think how big that heart is gonna keep getting!!!! Funny thing about that heart thing... even when you're an old grandma & grandpa's it keeps stretching, making room for more. Just when we thought our hearts were as big as they could get.... Evelyn came along! You guys can just keep growing our hearts as big as you want to!!! We've learned, there always seems to be more room:)

Love you guys... Gramma & Grampa Olson

I have never made a cake from scratch. Grandma always had a box of SoftasSilk on the shelf but it was never used. Some kind of holy grail I think. If I remember correctly, we would make a cake from a box mix, put it in the oven and then pray in front of the SoftasSilk box that it would turn out good. I never saw her use it.

Good luck with your project!

Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things. Fix yourself a plate and feed her off it. When she sees that you are eating it and share with her, she will eat it. If she thinks she can have her own plate, she will order off the menu she makes up. Don't ask how I know about this. When they get hungry, they'll eat. Mama didn't let me enforce that much.
