I’m sure you’ve already heard it several times by now, but Happy New Year!
January is always so promising. Fresh starts, new hopes. It doesn’t matter what happened last year- you now have a clean slate and second chances. I have a long list of things I would like to do in 2010. I’ll share some with you:
- Knit and sew at least one project a month (this means finished projects)
- Take three pictures that represent my day and post them as a triptych on flickr.
- Get a fence built
- Repaint the living room, hallways, and our bedroom.
- Find new bedding and towels (there’s got to be a white sale somewhere)
- Install new flooring
- Clean and organize the basement so Evelyn and I can spend more time down there playing and crafting (maybe put up a swing down there?)
- Cook and bake something new at least twice a month
- Travel more, even if its just locally
There are so many more. I have a running list and I’ll see how many I can get accomplished and checked off by the end of the year.
I hope you have a happy, healthy, and kind new year! Love, The Olsons

Andria, hello!
I was wondering if you could tell me where you bought your party hats? Or if, perhaps, you made them yourself, if there is a good template/explanation for diy hats. Simply love them and the colors are amazing.
Your blog is awesome and I check it often for cozy updates.
My best,
Draga’
