Projects

I have so much to do and I don’t know where to start!  This is usually when I run around and don’t get anything done because I’m overwhelmed.  First off, knitting projects:

  • Mom’s belated birthday present.  I’m about half done with this.
  • Mittens for myself.
  • Baby blanket for Evelyn.  She’s at that age where she is going to get attached to something and I don’t want to be carrying around a sweaty blankie.

I’ve been getting awesome yarn from Eat.Sleep.Knit.  I can’t wait until they get more Madelintosh worsted in stock.  The colors are so pretty and it is such a soft yarn.  I should really buy double of the color way I got for Evelyn’s blanket in case I need to knit a replacement.  If anybody reading this has some (2 skeins) worsted in ‘Afternoon’ and is willing to part with it, let me know.  Or if you have a yarn store close to you that has it, let me know.  Until then I’ll just keep my eye out.  There aren’t any local shops here that sell Madelinetosh so I guess I’ll just have to keep stalking the net.

I knit with a group that meets at the Harmony in Madison and we were talking about Madelinetosh. Knitters were raving about it!
It’s often tough to find the yarn you want locally. The more yarn shops there are on the internet, the more limited the selection in stores.
Hope you post pix of the finished projects!
