Last of November

Good morning!  Wow it’s been such a fast month.  Tomorrow is already December- can’t believe it.  I’ll give you a run-down of what’s been happening.  The large gap at the end of our driveway FINALLY got paved.  They even did a small section in front of our mailbox which was always so hard to shovel in front of.

Evelyn is now nine months old.  She has been standing on her own for short seconds and last night she even took a few unassisted steps.  She can also say ‘mama’ and ‘dada’ indiscriminately and we swear she says ‘kitty’.  We have been trying to get her to sleep through the night so things have been a little rough around here.  She used to lay down for sleep so well but now she’s realized that she is her own person, separate from us, and gets upset to be left alone.  She isn’t very good at self-soothing so we just have to let her cry things out.  Hard on the heart more than anything.

I turned 28 this month.  Scott and I went to Chicago for a few days and had a good time.  Nothing too exciting and it rained.  It was good to just sleep.  I got a new camera for my birthday- a Nikon D90 with a new 50mm lens.  It’s pretty awesome.

That’s about it.  I’ve got some pictures from a newborn shoot to finish up and then I can really get back in to knitting.  I have just been dipping my toes in the yarn pool and I can’t wait to splash around with the projects I have planned. (oh, geez.  I shouldn’t have have used a swimming metaphor.  Now I really want to go to the pool.  Note to self: check into membership for local indoor pool.)
