One of them is trying to choose paint colors. Even though it is still a few more months away, I want to get my little sprout’s room done so I can focus on cleaning the rest of my house- as well as start knitting and sewing.
The little sprout, by the way, is a girl. I won’t be painting her room pink. There may be a day when she has to share the space with a little brother. Which leads to the question “How many shades of aqua are there?” The darker color that is already on the wall is a little to heavy but the lighter one on the left isn’t quite substantial enough. Absolutely ridiculous. This is the first hurdle in my mind to finishing this room and I want to be done with it. Momma said she would stop by tomorrow to give an opinion before my brain starts oozing out my ears.
Once the room gets painted I will have to make a trip down to Ikea for a crib and maybe a dresser. Then I will have to tackle another project- the rocking chair Momma and I found at the antique store. It needs to be sanded and painted or re-stained and re-upholstered. I’ll show you that treasure soon but right now I can only focus on one project at a time. Hopefully I’ll be better once I get the paint color nailed down. I can really see the crazy now that this is all typed out!

p.s. Is your blog publishing a feed? I use bloglines and it couldn’t find one. I want to subscribe so I can keep up with you!
What fun! My nest is empty now but I remember the days well. My daughter’s room was a pretty periwinkle blue.
