Snow!

Beautiful flocked trees this morning.  Sadly, it is just about melted.  I wish I had the day off to sit and knit but I’ve got errands to run!

Brrrrr

Two weeks ago we had a couple seventy degree days.  Yesterday it snowed.  Today the high is thirty.  Time to clean out the winter closet.  From the evidence found within said closet and shown here it would appear that I have a slight scarf addiction.  The problem is I would like to get some new ones.  Okay- just one new one.  This one.  In green.  Does it help that Anthro sent me a coupon for my birthday?

I swear I’ll give all the ones I don’t wear to Olive.  She’d like that, as you can see.

You had better bundle up because it is getting cold outside!

Twenty-seven

Today I am twenty-seven.  It is a very strange age to be- I don’t quite fit in with the young ones anymore but I’m not in the same place as those in their thirties.

Not to mention the small soccer ball in my belly is making me feel a little frumpy.  It is very hard to find clothes that fit my personality and my bump.  That cute green sweater I got for my birthday helps.

So do birthday kisses.

How Many Ways to Crazy?

One of them is trying to choose paint colors. Even though it is still a few more months away, I want to get my little sprout’s room done so I can focus on cleaning the rest of my house- as well as start knitting and sewing.

The little sprout, by the way, is a girl.  I won’t be painting her room pink.  There may be a day when she has to share the space with a little brother.  Which leads to the question “How many shades of aqua are there?”  The darker color that is already on the wall is a little to heavy but the lighter one on the left isn’t quite substantial enough.  Absolutely ridiculous.  This is the first hurdle in my mind to finishing this room  and I want to be done with it.  Momma said she would stop by tomorrow to give an opinion before my brain starts oozing out my ears.

Once the room gets painted I will have to make a trip down to Ikea for a crib and maybe a dresser.  Then I will have to tackle another project-  the rocking chair Momma and I found at the antique store.  It needs to be sanded and painted or re-stained and re-upholstered.  I’ll show you that treasure soon but right now I can only focus on one project at a time.  Hopefully I’ll be better once I get the paint color nailed down.  I can really see the crazy now that this is all typed out!

Then Comes November

And with November, changes.  My head is swimming with so many ideas that I don’t know where to begin.  I feel like I am always trying to play catch up with my posts, so rather than updating you with my past musings  I will begin with what’s happening now.  I needed a new place to start fresh and I do so hope you are joining me from Some Twittery.  Welcome-  I’m glad your here!
